Gateway Motor Inn - Mount Maunganui

We had a fantastic time exploring the nearby beach and soaking up the sun in the Bay of Plenty. The kids loved playing in the sand, while my wife and I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. It was perfect for family bonding and creating memorable moments together.

My children wished there were more family-friendly activities on-site.

The location is super central, next to Maunganui and Tauranga, eateries and the town which is a 10-15 minute drive away. The rooms are practical and new-fashioned and complete with spacious bathroom, large spa bath and lovely shower. Nothing to complain about, we would not hesitate to return here.

Loved the place, had a very good stay in the late night. The room we had was brand-new and good sized with spacious bathroom with large spa bath and the spa bath.

Guests receive excellent service from friendly staff at this venue for a consistently great stay experience.

The Gateway Motor Inn in Mount Maunganui is a welcoming place with friendly staff who are attentive to guests' needs. the units are immaculately clean and come equipped with a sofa and a spa bath, making for a comfortable stay. the staff are always helpful and accommodating, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone.

Our group stayed at this motel and we cannot express highly enough how much we enjoyed our stay - we were there for 5 nights and the management and staff could not have been more helpful - we ordered breakfasts and an evening meal and they were of a very high standard. We also enjoyed the visits from Maggie. Thank you very much from the five Southland girls, you helped make our stay most enjoyable.

Fairly clean hotel, liked to be so close to the beach or the town which is a 10-15 minute drive away and trains and upstairs units and supermarket thanks to favourable and magnificent location. Had a really enjoyable stay here😀

This place is in a really central spot, making it super convenient if you're heading to the netball courts at Blake Park. 👍.

Frankly, I didn't like anything.

The elctric jug didn't work, the power point in the bathroom didn't work. When the phone wasn't answered in reception I rang the motel on an outside line and was charged for it. The rooms were noisy with rowdy guests leaving at 6.30am and the allotted car parking space had been used by another guest. I was more than happy to leave.
